Kristine (Kris) Warner is a strategic communications advisor with more than 30 years of experience helping organizations build awareness, strengthen their reputations and achieve their business objectives. As founder and managing partner of Maier & Warner PR, she advises corporate, nonprofit and government clients on strategic communications, media relations, executive communications, placemaking, economic development, community engagement and public affairs.
Over the past two decades, Kris has worked with developers, business improvement districts, municipalities, nonprofit organizations and corporate clients throughout the Washington, D.C. region, helping shape the communications strategies behind mixed-use developments, master-planned communities, economic development initiatives and destination marketing programs. She is known for developing thoughtful communications strategies that bring together business objectives, public engagement and community support.
Prior to founding Maier & Warner PR, Kris served as Director of Corporate Communications for Federal Realty Investment Trust, where she gained valuable experience working with one of the nation's premier mixed-use developers. That foundation, combined with more than 20 years advising clients on planning, development, land use and community engagement, gives her a unique perspective on communicating complex development projects and building lasting relationships with stakeholders.
Known for her strategic thinking, organizational skills and collaborative approach, Kris works closely with business leaders, elected officials, developers and entrepreneurs to develop clear messaging, navigate complex communications challenges and deliver measurable results.
